For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

(The Bible KJV – Romans 8: 38, 39)

.

Every Wednesday at 6.15pm a Testimony Meeting is held at the Christian Science church in Canberra (corner of Macquarie and Bligh Streets, Barton). Wednesday Testimony Meeting Readings

This recording is of the readings on the topic: No Human History

,

Why search the future and the past?
Why do ye look with tearful eyes
And seek far off for paradise?
Before your feet Life’s pearl is cast.

Of all that was and is to come
The present holds the Mind and Cause;
For God lives in eternal laws,
And here today upholds His throne.

(Hymn 391 from the Christian Science Hymnal)

Wednesday Testimony Meeting readings

This recording is of the readings on the topic: Thy Presence Ever Goes with Me

.

I love Thy way of freedom, Lord,
To serve Thee is my choice,
In Thy clear light of Truth I rise
And, listening for Thy voice,
I hear Thy promise old and new,
That bids all fear to cease:
My presence still shall go with thee
And I will give thee peace.

(Hymn 136 from the Christian Science Hymnal – words by Violet Hay)

Wednesday Testimony Meeting readings

This recording is of the readings on the topic: Governed by Divine Law

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. (John 1: 17)

God never punishes man for doing right, for honest labor, or for deeds of kindness, though they expose him to fatigue, cold, heat, contagion. (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy p384)

The Sea of Galilee at sunrise.

.

The miracle introduces no disorder, but unfolds the primal order, establishing the Science of God’s unchanging law.

There is to-day danger of repeating the offence of the Jews by limiting the Holy One of Israel and asking: “Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?” What cannot God do?

(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy p134)

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

Reality – Found in Matter or Mind?   Leave a comment

Wednesday Testimony Meeting Readings

This recording is of readings on the topic:  Reality – Found in Matter or Mind?

Metaphysics is above physics, and matter does not enter into metaphysical premises or conclusions. The categories of metaphysics rest on one basis, the divine Mind. Metaphysics resolves things into thoughts, and exchanges the objects of sense for the ideas of Soul. …

The testimony of the material senses is neither absolute nor divine. (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy p269)

Life That is Spiritual   Leave a comment

Wednesday Testimony Meeting Readings

This recording is of readings on the topic: Life That is Spiritual

Never record ages. Chronological data are no part of the vast forever. Time-tables of birth and death are so many conspiracies against manhood and womanhood. Except for the error of measuring and limiting all that is good and beautiful, man would enjoy more than threescore years and ten and still maintain his vigor, freshness, and promise. Man, governed by immortal Mind, is always beautiful and grand. Each succeeding year unfolds wisdom, beauty, and holiness.
