dreamstime_10813042Christ Healing – The Birth of a New-Old Idea – Readings from the Bible and the textbook of Christian Science, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils:  freely ye have received, freely give. (The Bible – Matthew 10: 8)

The time for the reappearing of the divine healing is throughout all time: (Science and Health p55)

Every Wednesday at 6.00 pm a Testimony Meeting is held at the Christian Science Church in Canberra.  Each meeting begins with readings selected from the two books designated as the Pastor of Christian Science:  The Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.  A new topic for the readings is selected each week.

At the conclusion of the short readings the congregation is invited to share thoughts on this topic and relate how they have used the principles of Christian Science to solve life’s problems and bring physical healing.

If you are in Canberra on any Wednesday please join us.  Everyone is welcome.

This recording represents the readings on the topic: Christ Healing – The Birth of a New-Old Idea.

  1. Inspirational readings. Readings that gave inspiration to look at Jesus Christ from a practical spiritual perspective; the application of Jesus’ teachings being as relevant today as they were then. “Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” is a good prelude into the comment of ” dispelling the illusion of the senses” which appears to be fundamental to eliminating sin, disease and error. Sometimes the fear of letting go of the material and what has been apparent to the mortal senses can be a practical impediment to accepting the “demonstration of truth and life” as shown by the Christ.
